The Solvent Accountant

Compliance with the PPC Regulations/SED requires drycleaners to keep detailed records of clothes cleaned and solvent used on a weekly record sheet. This presents the drycleaner with a number of potential problems:

  • When and how to keep the required records
  • Limited or no time to work out monthly consumption figures
  • How to work out spot-cleaning correction factors
  • How to account for multiple dry cleaning machines
  • How to account for machines using more than one type of dry cleaning solvent

By using our solvent accountancy services you can free yourself of the task of completing your solvent returns - we will even add up your weekly record sheets for you!

The service includes:

  • Calculation of your own spot cleaning corrction factor (where required)
  • Advice on good practice where targets have not been met
  • Liaison with your council regulator to help with explanations of poor solvent efficiency

All you need to do is post* us your weekly record sheets, and we will do the rest!

How to price the service:

The service is priced according to how much work we need to do, and is based around £5 for each weekly record sheet (or part thereof) that needs to be accounted for. If you add up your own weekly totals, the service is cheaper. See the options below:

Option one - where we total your weekly record sheets, £5 per weekly sheet or part thereof

Send us your weekly record sheets as and when you want to know your solvent use efficincy, and we will work it out for you. This can be as often as you like, e.g weekly, monthly or quarterly or just once a year for your annual return.

If you opt for weekly, monthly or quarterly reporting, we will keep your solvent data on file - so you only pay for it to be collated once!

Option two - where you total your weekly record sheets, £2 per weekly sheet or part thereof

Send us your weekly totals as and when you want to know your solvent use efficincy, and we will work it out for you. This can be as often as you like, e.g monthly, quarterly or just once a year for your annual return.

If you opt for monthly or quarterly reporting, we will keep your solvent data on file - so you only pay for it to be collated once!
